In March 2012, the city of Maastricht in the Netherlands, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of TEFAF, the most prestigious antique fair in the world.
The Fair has developed from a small European event in 1988 with only 97 exhibitors and three disciplines into the world’s leading arts and antiques fair hosting nine sections with more than 260 exhibitors from nearly all continents presenting high quality works of art and antiques, including Old Masters, modern and contemporary paintings, drawings, engravings, classical antiques, oriental art, furniture, silver and porcelain.
The authenticity of every item is checked by one of 23 vetting committees made up of over 143 internationally respected experts.
