The Leading Art & Antique Dealers of the World Art World Dealers Awards — TEFAF 2008

Winner of the first category - ANTIQUES AND WORKS OF ART: After the Barbarians II - Namban Works of Art for the Japanese, Portuguese and Dutch Markets published by Jorge Welsh Books, London and Lisbon, 2008.

The Art World Dealers 2008 winners were announced on Saturday March 15th  at TEFAF – The European Fine Art Fair. These distinctions reward TEFAF exhibitors who contribute the best to art publishing. By favouring excellence in this field, ArtWorldDealers aims at promoting high quality art publications, an essential asset for art collectors. All exhibiting dealers at TEFAF were invited to compete. More than 70 books and catalogues were submitted to the selection committee. The jury of collectors, museums and art pres representatives was asked to evaluate nominees following the criteria of: originality of the subject and exceptionally quality of the works of art shown; the quality of text and photography, and finally, the quality of publishing.
